Well, I’m home and I’m jittery. I’ll tackle the first one and then explain the “jittery.” (There’s a summary at the end, if y’all don’t have time right now.)
It’s amazing how much time passes when you’re at home being a bum instead of in a dorm room avoiding work. It probably helps that it doesn’t matter when I get up, as there are no classes to miss. I finally have time to watch movies again (as in “sit down and pay attention” and not “having blaring in the background while frantically working on math homework an hour before it’s due”), which I’ve been enjoying immensely. Quick shout-out to Jennifer for loaning her copies of “A Walk to Remember” and “Kate and Leopold.” [Opinions on both—fully prepared to hate the first one, but it was saved by “Dancing in the Moonlight” (great song)/”two places at once” scene. The second was adorable (although I really should’ve seen the ending coming), and, hey, it had Hugh Jackman. Yum.] I also went to a 10:30 p.m. showing of “The Two Towers” last night [at a theater an hour from my house, so add that to the 3+ hours length of the movie], so I got to relieve my college ways and walk in the front door around 3 a.m. My parents love me, I’m sure.
Man, this is long. And we’re only half-way! Anyway….
As for the jittery-ness…I went to the doctor today to get some moles cut off (I was more than a little paranoid after the cancer lecture in fitness class when some of my moles fit the ABC’s of warning signs). Of course, this meant a great big needle and even some stitches on my right leg (which is kinda cool, since I’ve never needed stitches before—yes, most people would think that was a good thing). After everything was done and bandaged, the nurse asked if I was “woozy.” I, however, never feel woozy after things like this; I just get a jittery feeling where my appendages can’t stop shaking. My leg was especially tap-y, as that was where I had, not one, but two shots to numb the area. It’s chilling out now, y’all, but let’s just say that I’ve had a fun time correcting my typing.
Summary Time! I’m home, I’ve seen too many movies, although I recommend “Kate and Leopold” if you find Hugh Jackman yummy and “The Two Towers” if you like movies of any kind (even when sitting in the front row—I need to do this for every movie, especially as I’m doing it for over half that I’ve seen already this year), and movies with Orlando Bloom especially. (Yes, I care for more than yummy looking guys. There’s just so many of them that I feel like mentioning.) I feel bouncy and jittery instead of woozy and faint whenever medical-type things happen to me, and feel like sharing with the general population. I think this summary is too long….according to the Fye rules, it’s actually paraphrase length now. I won’t tell if you won’t.
