Where kids come to play along
This past week I've gotten surprising mileage out of my "I met Shari Lewis" story and Johnathan Swift's "A Modest Proposal."

I'm afraid to ask which one got you more milage.
Oh, well...probably around half and half, but with a bit more of a tilt toward the Swift. The Swift I've been talking about all week, though, between my scripted scene (a play by Saki where the couple could get together if only they didn't have thirteen children--too unlucky to get married--so they try to push one off on someone else; I almost had one of the main characters read a copy during the opening section) and one-act starring a Swift, Shari Lewis didn't have a chance. I am surprised how many people think it's beyond cool that I met the "sock puppet lady."
